June 22..bottled 3,500 cases pumpkin beer. Same the next day. Don't get me wrong I love love the stuff..one of the styles I actuall look foward to..but it is getting pushed earlier and earlier into the schedule. Nothing like some nice fall beverage while your sweating your ass off in the brewhouse!!

I would rather drink Michelob Ice Light 60 than a pumpkin beer.

You obviously have not had Greater Pumpkin by Heavy Seas. I hate pumpkin beer but man that is some gooood stuff.

Have to drink it fresh, don't let it go past a month.

It is a bummer. Harvest Ale was the only Goose Island beer I was willing to buy. I used to get a 12 pack of that stuff every year. I can still get Short's Autumn Ale (also an ESB) in the fall which is also pretty darn good but I can't get that in a 12 pack.

I'm looking forward to Fall. Pumpkin beers and Football: it's a wonderful thing.

NO. There are plenty of good beers to be had year round, no reason to rush through summer. And don't get me wrong I love fall and football, but the sooner that comes the sooner it is too damn cold to BBQ/Smoke and sit outside with my beer.

No, they retired it and replaced it with (wait for it) an Oktoberfest! And it's a different Oktoberfest than they used to brew -- more to-style.

All I know is on July 15 I am plenty ready to keep drinking hefes and sours and pilsners and not even thinking about fall yet.

I love autumn seasonals, and I particularly enjoy checking out harvest ales, so called, but when it's as gross and muggy as it is today and it feels like I'm breathing soup, I want nothing fuller or richer than a nice pils.

Slow down there. I haven't had any Allagash White or Weihenstephan Weisse yet. While not summer seasonals, they are my go-to summer beers.

We're just into summer, so no, it's not autumn yet.

I love fall, my favorite time of year. I despise what follows. College football and octoberfest beers is just about perfect if you ask me.

I'm enjoying some really nice Wheats (NB Snapshot) various Wits (Natty Greenes's Wildflower Wit among them), the occasion lager (SA Boston Lager) and some tasty homebrew Saison. Yes, summer is pretty good this year.

Okay, but the Rambler is new just this year -- knew I'd never seen it before.

And didn't know the Oktoberfest was Illinois only, they feature it at the web site.

No, it should be illegal to let them come before September. Sorry but this race to get seasonal beers out first must END!

A good German Marzen Oktoberfest is what I am looking forward to most, come the fall.

Fall beer season is my favorite beer season. That being said, I am not quite ready for those beers just yet. My favorites are Southern Tier Pumking and Schlafly Pumpkin Ale

Mine was definitely metallic at first too, but I found that the metallic flavors decreased with age and when I let the beer sit in the glass for a while before drinking it. Definitely not looking forward to that again if it's there. Not sure if I'll switch to Narragansett Festbier from SA for my cheap Oktoberfest to supplement a steady stream of Ayinger Fest-Maerzen or not...
