Yes I know. I am well aware of pumking. The person I quoted was saying about pistol whipping the next person who said it and the shenanigans reference was to a similar line in the movie about supertroopers. Personally I despise pumking haha

I'm not ready. I've explored new summer styles and got my hands on every hoppy brew I can find. Carton canned Boat, Monkey Chased the Weasel and 077XX, yeah no way I'm good for a month or two.

Saw Pumking today in the store. Laughed and kept walking. I hate that beer.

Makes you wonder where they are getting all this fresh pumpkin for their brews. I can't find a real pumpkin until September in my area.

Autumn Maple is still on the shelves in NJ. Joe Canal's in Lambertville if you are ever in the area.

No brewer of any size (like Weyerbacher or Southern Tier) uses "real" pumpkins for these beers, they use canned pumpkin puree, which keeps for a number of years.....

These brewers (ST and Weyerbacher and Terrapin, etc....out with the early pumpkin brews) use Pumpkin canned puree - thought this was widely known by now.....these keep for a long time, being canned, etc

Give that one a good inspection my friend, I know a retailer on this side of the line that's had the Ayinger in his cooler since last year... and I tried one a couple months ago -- had gone further south than my house from yours!

They're getting it from "freshly-opened" cans from Seneca Foods Corporation (pic below from Weyerbacher blog) and other such suppliers:

I just finished my last drinkable one (I've got a 2012 / 2013 saved for a 3 year vertical with my brother), and I seriously considered busting one of those open, but it wouldn't be worth it now that we're so close to the new release! This year I'm buying 2-3 cases so I don't have the same problem!

If you tired of the lager, blonde, session and wheat seasonals, just drink some Saisons. They are the ultimate summer beer, refreshing but hefty with loads of flavor. But I'd still go with a Hefeweizen or Pilsner while mowing the lawn.
