    Is it churning and you just happened to catch a pic with that depth/thickness to it? If so, I think you've got normal krausen.

    Looks normal to me. I wish I had the presence of mind to take pictures of one of my more disgusting fermentations. I used wyeast american ale 2 and as it fermented it had huge ropes of yeast churning through the beer, it was pretty disgusting and has discouraged me from fermenting in glass.

    Turns out to be one of my better tasting brews! I can't wait to get it bottled.
