3 gallon batch. Wyeast 2112 California Lager yeast 4 days into fermentation at 60 degrees. Ive never used a yeast that required a cooler temp...Does this look normal or contaminated? <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/po...cxzzsaghj/posts/10207881053118298:0&width=500" width="500" height="502" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
Is it churning and you just happened to catch a pic with that depth/thickness to it? If so, I think you've got normal krausen.
Looks normal to me. I wish I had the presence of mind to take pictures of one of my more disgusting fermentations. I used wyeast american ale 2 and as it fermented it had huge ropes of yeast churning through the beer, it was pretty disgusting and has discouraged me from fermenting in glass.
