I know they had to stop producing it because there was a horrible cherry crop last year. When the cherries come back, will the beer come along with them? If not it would be a damn shame.

I have not seen anything super definitive, but I would probably bet my cellar that Dan will bring it back in the next year or two.

If there are enough cherries to make an adequate supply of beer this brew will be made.

If you check their website it has been replaced on the annual brews schedule for Serendipity and does not currently show up for release this year. I'm guessing due to their success with Serendipity and more readily available crops which eliminates their potential production problems that BR may be phased out to more of a one off release.

There are still some bottles of BR floating around on shelves in certain places. Not sure how it ages out being kept at 67-70 degrees for a few years

Is the Pope Catholic? Yes it will be back once they have sufficient cherries to brew it. It was very popular. My guess is that there will be 3 year round fruit beers from New Glarus.

It ages very, very well. If you see one and happen to pick it up; I would be very grateful.

I don't blame them for not publicly anticipating Belgian Red this year. The weather has been even goofier than it was last year in the upper Midwest.
