What does this mean? Noble Ale Works Back In The Day IPA Growler Fills Noble Ale Works · Anaheim, CA Taster: $2.00 · 12 oz: $4.00 · 16 oz: $5.00 · 32 oz Growler: $10.00 · 64 oz Growler: $20.00 The recipe for this IPA was discovered recently under a large stone in San Marcos, CA. Carbon dating found that it was created all the way back in circa 1997 AD when, apparently, this type of IPA was first being introduced. It is deep copper in color, full bodied, with grassy and strawberry jam aromatics and a caramel backbone that purposely overwhelms a large portion of the bold Cascade and Centennial hop profile. This IS your father’s IPA. 7.0% abv
I wouldn't consider it talking smack. I think they're poking a little fun at Stone, but ultimately considering them to be a father figure that paved the way for other breweries.
Precisely. It doesn't come off as talking smack, it comes off as a nod to Stone paving the way with some tongue in cheek humor.
I don't think you can take anything that Noble writes in posts seriously. Just read some of their Instagram hashtags and you'll see what I mean.
You must not have had Sorachi Ace Showers. Granted, it's a DIPA but that stuff was nasty. Pickle juice.
They've been making Back in the day for awhile now. Always assumed it was a Stone IPA Clone. Stone does post its recipes for others to use. I'm not a huge fan of it either compared to their other offerings. And I honestly think its more of a compliment than talking smack.
Since I guess posting a video about "Talking shit" was worth the warning point, I guess I'll add content here - Is there ever really shit talking/feuds that are actually serious? Especially towards potential business partners. I mean, I know Noble helps out HPB in providing some hops when needed. It does seem like any "shit talk" is nothing more than friendly ribbing on one another. Even Modern Times' latest little selling of their car wasn't really that big of a shots fired sort of thing.
