RAMPANT isn't great value, unless you just want to get drunk. It just isn't a very good DIPA.

Just curious why those that hate this beer hate it so much?? Is it because it is so different then all other DIPAs... I get that it is not a pine/citrus bomb and has more of a peach/melon type vibe going on.

Personally that is why I like it, nice to have something that does not taste like everything else.

I'm amazed how wildly varied the opinions are of Rampant. I found it to be an acquired taste, quite different for sure. Nothing else like it, and I think that's one reason why it eventually grew on me. Some people love it and some absolutely loathe it. Strange.

Not sure why more people don't like Rampant. I find it to be a fairly straight forward, but enjoyable DIPA. And, aside from the mentions of Lagunitas special releases, it's probably the best value around.

Great beer at a great price but I'm gonna go with the guys of Sierra Nevada or Lagunitas for the best deals for price/quality.

Quite true! Especially with Torpedo, Stone IPA, and Lagunitas being priced just slightly over Rampant.

$9.99 for a sixer of Hopsecutioner. Or FBS 4 packs for $7.99.

What you might have meant was "...and Rampant priced just under Torpedo, Stone IPA, and Lagunitas"... It is priced the way it is for a reason and you can figger out what that reason might be for yourselves...

Value bargains with beer is kinda like value picks in the NFL; exactly what is that? It's either good or it's not, it's great or it's not.

It is a really good deal for a high ABV DIPA like that, but truth be told I didn't like it when I tried it, and I've never bought it again!

I have to toss Brooklyn Black Chocolate stout in there. $8.99 for a 4pack of 10% pretty damn tasty stout. Hard to beat that value imo
