Is there a difference between Mikkeller's "1000 IBU" and "1000 IPA"?

I know it doesn't have high ratings but I've wanted to try the 1000 IBU for a while now. I found a few bottles of "1000 IPA" at a local shop, can't find anything online about this. Are they the same beer?

As far as I can tell it's the same thing. At least I can't find any evidence that there's been more than one Mikkeller ''1000'' beer. It may have been labeled in more than one way, they have a tendency to rename and relabel their beers a lot.

Yeah that's what I figured. Just wanted to see if I was missing something. Cheers!

It is bitter, but there are beers with no IBU measurement, that are more bitter, e.g. OH's Green is for G's
