Is there a rating guide?

    is there a guide to the meaning of the info given in the ratings?
    what does Avg mean? what is it the average of?
    what does pDev mean?

    Appreciate the question and link.

    I'm sure this was likely addressed at some point, but beyond the 10 rating minimum and active beer / brewery criteria, are beers included in the overall rank / style rank if the beer and or brewery is not listed as retired? Or are beers excluded unless they have recent ratings, like within the past year?

    Also, does the criteria for beer rankings style relatively consistent over time, or are announced when significant changes are made like when there was an announcement IIRC within the past year stating how the Top 250 would have adjustments?

    Beers aren't ranked if they're tagged as retired or haven't been rated within the last two years.
    Other than applying the style ID to the mix, the criteria for rankings by style are the same.
