"Thin and muted" is in the BA lexicon for every release of an annual stout.

Yeah I thought it was tasty and surprisingly drinkable for a what it is.

Yeah, last year was the first year that I was disappointed in the taste. Pecan was very faint...

Drinking a draft 2018 even as we speak. Good, but a far cry from 2016 bomber I last tried. Comparatively speaking, the mouthfeel is a tad thin, and I'm not picking up very much bourbon or pecan flavor. Still a nice enough beer, but not something I'd go out of my way to find.

Tried it on draft, very nice stout, dangerously easy drinking for 13%. Definitely not as in your face with the flavors as some previous years (I think 17 is the last I had) but clean and smooth and I would happily drink again

Dammit someone had to go and remind me
Sadly couldn't find the cans so had to shell out for the bomber (I was on a mission)
Overall still good value for a solid Impy St

Having a 22 oz. Bomber 2019 Release right now, pretty tasty.

    Cheers!
