Okay, guys I asked my local welding company but they didn't have an answer for me. I still have my old regulator that I took at of a kegerator I bought on Craigslist. I know that one of the guages was bent and I think it was a cause for me over carbonating my first keg. I have bought a new regulator and I bought a LHT 1/4 nipple and a new gauge to potentially create a double regulator for my two tap fridge conversion kegerator. Is there any solid method to test to see if the regulator is working correctly? I know my new regulator is working well, and I currently use a wye to split my pressure to both kegs. I just thought since I was able to get a new gauge and nipple for $15 it might be worth a shot. However, I really don't want to over carbonate another keg if I can help it. Just thought the minds here might have a solid testing method that you utilize. If not, I will try it and see. Thanks.

You can swap out the new and the old regulator on a keg. For example, if they both show the same 11 psi, then you know both gauges are correct.

However, it is not possible to easily determine if the actual regulator body itself is working properly. The mechanism is a spring and diaphragm. Either can wear out and usually the regulator releases too much pressure. If you have a bad gauge you're not going to know this though. Rebuild kits are available if you are interested, and the repair is not very difficult at all.

If the old regulator was not working properly you would see the pressure difference after a few days.

    Cheers.
