Wasn't sure where to post this so figured I would try here. Saw an ad on craigslist selling bombers of Boulevard Bourbon Barrel Quad, Boulevard Rye on Rye, New Holland Mole Ocho, New Holland Pilgrims Dole, SA Vixen Chocolate Chili Bock and Lagunitas Gnarlywine for $30 total. I'm not familiar with any of these beers but it seems like a great deal but also too good to be true. Any feedback about these?
If the beers in the bottles are actually what the seller is claiming, then it's a great deal. That said, check the caps to make sure the seller didn't put homebrew or store-bought beer in and then recap the bottles. For many of those beers, the caps should be branded.
It kind of depends on whether you like those six beers. Based on price alone though, yes it would be a good deal.
I was looking at how high of reviews they got and kind of thought it might be a scam but not sure. Luckily the guy only lives about 10 minutes away from me so hopefully that will deter him from trying to scam me. I will definitely check the caps to see if they are generic or branded.
Also depends on how they were kept. Are these aged behind a radiator, in a hot car, a fridge, a cellar?
Damn I never had Boulevard Bourbon Barrel Quad Boulevard Rye on Rye New Holland Pilgrims Dole So that would be a great deal alone. The rest are icing on the cake. Do it! Mole Ochco is like 7 bucks, Vixen is at least another 5 and Garlywine is at least 4. So thats 10+ dollars of extra's for free!
