...And there gone... I knew I should have just bought a few and figured out what else to buy afterwards.
i have an extensive collection of cantillon/3f glasses... and that's the first i've seen that tumber... plus at only 4 euros each, seems questionable
The seller had/has lots of verifiable vintage glassware. I'm not saying definitively that these are authentic, but judging by the other wares, I would lean in that direction.
Did some more digging. Looks like Districo is a beer wholesaler/distributor in Belgium, so the glass was probably made for them for some purpose.
Didn't see those when I was at Cantillon yesterday. They very well could have been special made, though.
Just send Cantillon an e-mail with that photo: [email protected] I had a similar incident a year or so ago, and they will confirm if it is fake. It doesn't look legit in my opinion, but you'll never know unless you ask them directly. Please report back with your findings. Cheers!
Anyone have an update on this glass? I assume it is authentic. I have heard that it is from the late 1980's or early 1990's.
The font looks very close to the font on an old Cantillon sign i have but it is a pretty common font.
I have been told that the glass is authentic and was made for a distributor years ago. Still no confirmation of this info.
Bumping an old thread. I have an opportunity to acquire this glass, albeit for a pretty penny. Funny to see that it sold for 4 euros 2.5 years ago. Was there ever confirmation of its authenticity?
