Best I could come up with is Russky - - - тролль - - - and I understand the motive. I just corked and caged 32 Belgians for Xmas gifts and dying to show them off . . .

Need to know more information. What does the ceiling look like directly above the bucket?

I really like how the London ESB yeast worked for my RIS a couple of years ago. I still have a few of those, and opened one earlier this month. I think you will be very happy with it in a barleywine.

My latest barleywine used Irish Ale yeast 1084. You might like that one, too, on a future batch.

Does your blow off line dissolve in the sanitizer too? Ive had some get all slimy and even melt a little where it pushed up against my glass jug...

Never had that happen. Lately I have just been using tap water in the airlock as the StarSan tends to just become a foamy mess with a violent ferment. The water works just the same and doesn't froth up.

I had done that in the past but worry about fruit flies and nasties getting into the krausen as it goes into the blow off.

My tubing doesnt dissolve into the star san but the surface texture changed and if its pushing on glass it will get messed up. Kinda creeps me out but obviously not bad enough to change haha.

Yeah, my thing is that there shouldn't be anything that can get in the water, and then travel back up the line and into the beer. Once the krausen falls I usually take a gravity reading and put an airlock back on it, so it doesn't go the whole time. I may add some rubbing alcohol to the water from here on just to be sure.

Please say you will use cheap vodka and not rubbing alcohol. Anything with a direct route into your beer should be food safe.

I brewed a barley wine AG 1st runnings on fresh yeast left in a ferment after a transfer. Wham to off, I had to put it on a blow off tube for about 16 hours. Cleaning up a few times after I used too small of a bottle for the blow off. By the time I got a good bottle I moved back to the ole 3 piece, as foam has receded a bit.
