Well when you can get some great Abita beers why bother with Unibroue?

The bottle I brought back from the U.S. was a La Fin Du Monde bought last year and there were definitely no issues with that one.

I have to have a glass immediately nearby whenever I open Unibroue beers at work, because they usually gush. I might add that these are 12 oz bottles. Been a while since I've purchased or seen anyone purchase a 750ml.

I always go with the capped 12oz bottles. Save for Terrible when I'm having a craving.

Wow, that's what's up! Another reason I love this site. Great to see Unibroue amongst us all.

Definitely my favorite Canadian brewery. Never had a bad beer by them. But then again I live 2 minutes from the border

    Geographic benefits

    Cheers BA and Unibroue!

There's nothing inherently wrong with resurrecting year-old threads, but what relevance does this comment have to anything???

This is sad for anyone to open a flat bottle of otherwise delicious beer! Sorry this happened man!! Better luck next time, don't give up on the brewery yet. Report it though.

So you were refunded over $100 worth of beer + given more free beer? And you're still upset? Sounds like a pretty fair compensation even if the rep/distributor of a massive brewery did not "have time" to meet with you. If they pulled the product from shelves as you say, I'm sure that you were not the only one complaining.

As for me, I've never had a bad bottle of unibroue.

I have tried Unibroue in the past. All four beers in the four pack were "winey" and low carbonated. I thought that was just how it was supposed to be. I haven't tried it in years for this reason.

I love Unibroue, Belgian level quality at reasonable prices. Never had bad or out of date bottle before. Sucks to hear.

I think Mr Smith is trying to give us context. Count me as an (a?) Unibroue afficianado, but then again only had the cork/caged 750s.

Since my flat beer experience with them nearly a year ago, I have had many Maudite, La Fin Du Monde, Don de Deu, La Terible, and Trois Pistoles, in both 12 oz and 750's and have not had another flat beer. All were delicious and correctly carbonated. A bad batch surely should not turn Unibroue lovers away! And, they were very Responsive to me Personally, imediately after my "complaint". Cheers Unibroue!
Still in my top five breweries.

I have their beers fairly often, and I have run into one or two "flatter" than normal ones in the past, but it certainly has not stopped me from continuing to purchase their beers. I actually have to hold myself back from buying La Fin Du Monde almost every time I'm on a beer run. For some reason--because it is really good--I love it that much. I never thought about even pouring the things down the sink when I got the flat ones...I drank 'em anyway...I'm not too good...

Everybody should be so done. Easily one of my top ten breweries. I've had not a single beer that was not above average in execution. Also, nver had a bad one, and I've had a lot, though I don't really go for bombers from them.

For what it is worth, I have aged a few of the corked & caged 750ml bottles just as an experiment (La Fin du Monde, Maudite, Tres Pistoles) for 7-10 years and they still were not flat... Probably one of my favorite NA Belgian style breweries and always at a reasonable price.

The thread title definitely scared me lol

I've had 2 flat Maudite 750ml's in the past that I had to drain pour, both were from Walgreen's though and stored unrefrigerated. I bought them because they were on sale for $4.99, oh well. Beyond that... Unibroue is amazing as always, for the quality and the price.

I've never had a problem with any of their brew's, shit, even here in UT they carry a few of them. Probably the closest belgium brew (Non-Trappist) you are going to get at a very reasonable price, but shit does happen every so often.

    Cheers!
