Not saying this as a retort, but, I've had Unibroue here locally and from many different cities and states and never once have I had a problem. I think perhaps you've had a bit of bad luck or the shop is doing something VERY wrong in how it stores their bottles. Unibroue is too good to give up on!

I've had Unibroue years ago and they were an eye opener to Belgian styles. Other then Fin Du Monde I haven't gone back to them in a long time, but I found their stuff priced pretty solid. While I don't seek them out anymore, I wouldn't pass up their products.

Never had an issue with a Unibroue beer.

It was Unibroue that got me into beer. The first two beers that really surprised me were Maudite and La Fin du Monde. The taste, abv, packaging (750 mL caged) and descriptions (on lees) were different from the macro lagers that I was familar with.

Now that I have had the top Tripels, Dubbels, BDSA's, Quads, and BPSA's from Belgium, I have to say that I would never buy a Unibroue product again. The yeast profile on their beers are very substandard.

The 'homebrew' character overpowers the fruit, vinous, and spice characteristics of good belgian strongs. For example, I get "tomato paste" from Trois Pistoles, whereas from Rochefort 8 I get a spicy alcoholic rum-raison flavour. From La Fin Du Monde I get a gnarly banana medicine sweetness while from Dupont's Avec Les Bons Voeux I get subtle/clean pear, strong floral noble hops, and a vinous character.

Unibroue is probably my favorite brewery. It's a combination of my love of Belgian styles, the fact that they are so reasonably priced, the quality of every beer I've had from them, and also how oriented they are towards teaching people about the culinary aspects of beer. I call them a good beginner brewery because every bottle shows the proper glass to serve it in and also the correct temperature, and there website is full of educational stuff. I think my next beer haul is gonna be a variety of Unibroue 12oz singles after reading about all this.

Never had an issue and never hope to. Thought about buying some of the 12 oz of Fin when I saw then on a mix six shelf at the grocery store around here (it had to be a mistake) but I've only gone with bombers from them. And the ales they make for Trader Joe's. Nothing but excellence.

I'm always trying to get people to buy La Fin du Monde at the shop I work at. Way good and not a bad price either.

Unibroue is fantastic. La Fin Du Monde is a world class beer. I feel bad for you all that have shitty palates. Thats all.
