During this winter I've been enjoying many fine darker beers. And I always think of summer as IPA time. But come late February / early March a slew of great beers came rolling in. Last year I would have resisted and stuck with my stouts, porters and barleywines, but this year I decided to go with the flow. In the last 4 weeks I've tasted these great beers for the first time:

    Sierra Nevada Hop Hunter IPA
    Great Lakes Chillwave DIPA
    Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin IPA
    Bells Hopslam DIPA
    Bells Two Hearted Ale IPA
    Gigantic Ginormous Imperial IPA
Three Floyd's Live A Rich Life Belgian IPA
    Revolution Galaxy Hero IPA

So goodbye old man winter, bring on the summer!
I say this even as the weatherman says we are getting 2 inches of snow tonight.

I'll second you on the Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin IPA and along with the Troegs Nugget Nectar, the Troegs Cultivator, the Singlecut Beers that I'm finally getting to in my cue, and all of the seasonals like the Bocks and Wheat beers hitting the shelves, there's no doubt that this is my favorite time of the year - even if it still hasn't stopped snowing yet!

In terms of seasonals, Sixpoint's Abigale has been a highlight.

And its been out for a little while now, but whenever Deschutes Red Chair around I am pretty damn happy.
