if you’re referring to the wine & cheese place maman it is probably going to take quite a bit more than a handjee unfortunately. however, if you hang onto your handjee until the regular maman release then you’ve probably got one locked down no issues. quite possibly even a plus on the maman side.
According to someone from the wine and cheese shop, they bought whiskey barrels to be filled with maman from the brewery and then they were bottled by said brewery. Same beer but I think it was aged longer (31 months), and it's essentially just a store pick.
the wine and cheese place was a blend of 2 barrels (wild turkey & 4 roses i believe) provided by TWCP and perennial aged the beer in the 2 barrels for 31 months. so bourbon barrels instead of rye like usual. 31 months instead of 18-20 and the most important factor would be 300 or so bottles being released to TWCP beer rewards club members only.
They buy a barrels of bourbon and bottle and sell it at the store. They then give the emptied barrel to a local brewery, in this case Perennial who fills it with one of there beers. The wine and cheese place releases the beer through there brc (beer rewards club). Think there were 350ish bottles.
also, i wasn’t trying to dump in your post. i just wanted to make sure you knew the difference between the two & maybe also save you some confusion if this doesn’t end up closing. good luck though!
dude you might be closer than i originally thought on this. maybe have to add a plus because people have devalued 2018 handjee but with the right set of eyes 1:1 might be a possibility.
