ISO: Proxy for the Angry Chair TBBW Set

FT: You can keep the BA Maple Pecan Sundae

I'll also provide a shipping label.

    Cheers!

Trying to wrap my head around the TBBW release - let's see if I have this right:

#1. Someone must show up in-person on February 5th and can purchase a set for themselves and a set for another person. AC collects their $250/set at this time.

#2. Sets can then be picked up from March 7-14 - meaning that AC is keeping your $250/set as a "deposit" for 30+ days. So, folks have to make 2 trips to AC - the first trip to give AC their $$$ - then another trip to retrieve bottles.

#3. If someone purchased a set on behalf of someone else - the latter has to pick-up the bottles themselves - this completely eliminates the "proxy" element.

If I'm correct in my understanding of the situation - then this is the most convoluted bulls@%t I can imagine for any beer release - yet alone a "proxy-friendly" release.

I can't help but feel that AC has created a confusing situation by advertising this release as "proxies allowed" when that is absolutely not the case.

Looks like the OZNR release might by accurately proxy-friendly?

After that rant - I'm still interested in finding a proxy for the OZNR release. I will most likely be able to send you a bottle of 2022 Pliny the Younger in addition to you keeping the bottle of Pecan Sundae.

it’s beyond confusing (mostly because the IP “proxy that’s not actually a proxy” situation makes zero sense), but it does look like the Oznr app deal is a true proxy situation. good luck!

I believe you are exactly correct. I'm also pretty sure (I could be wrong) that they are charging the same price for only bottles when in the past the same price included entry into a ticketed event with unlimited pours included. Now, if you get bottles on the 5th you have to go back a month later to pick them up. If you want to try any on draft you will probably have to wait in line to squeeze into the tap room and pay again. All that said, I'm sure they will have no problem selling all the bottles and packing the tap room again. If I'm lucky I'll be participating in the whole crazy thing but seriously questioning my life choices with every pour.

I’m going to be in Tampa on the 5th but not in March. Contemplating what to do, if anything. Wait in line for 2-3 hours to purchase a set, find a proxy, have proxy ship for another 50, plus give proxy something. Seems like a lot of crazy for the opportunity to ultimately spend 60/beer after shipping, with maybe 2 of them being worth that (imo).

not even sure you’ll be able to do that as the way i’m understanding the proxy can purchase the tickets but you have to come back in March to redeem yourself.
