100% positive trade feedback across 94 trades and not listed on the bad traders list....not choosing sides, but would love to know the additional concerns since those numbers seem pretty respectable?

Agreed... I would imagine they’re a fair trader if that have almost 100 trades on their record...

PhishPhorce maybe explain a little more?

I backed out of a trade, is all. We didn't send a trade request and only he sent his info (when I didn't have the beers yet).
I imagine he had others that took care of him as he hasn't reposted the trade. Either way; knowing what I know now, I'm kind of glad I backed out.

That just sounds like a negotiation that didn't pan out. We've all had back and forths that didn't result in a trade. I hope Phish didn't muddy the water for Lumpkin cuz I've had repeated good dealings with him.

I wasn’t going to say anything else I just wanted people to be aware this guy messes around. The trade was 100% agreed upon for over a week. We didn’t exchange trade requests and that is I guess my mistake but he clearly thought his bottles were valued more after a week than mine and backed out the day we agreed to ship. I had his box packed. 5 years ago this would of gotten you blacklisted from every trader in the county. Now it’s apparently acceptable. He used the excuse that his kids class was exposed to covid as the reason he could not pick the bottles up from the brewery yet. I told him fine I hope his family is all healthy I can wait. Then he backed out anyways.

Which all was true. I didn't agree on a ship date because I didn't have bottles in hand. When I mentioned I didn't know exactly when I'd have them, I mentioned you could repost or trade to someone else if an offer came up. You called me out for sounding like I was going to back out, so I did.
I understand that wouldn't have flown six years ago or on FB, but...this isn't six years ago nor is it FB.
No hard feelings and sorry to have rubbed you the wrong way. I can agree that is was poor etiquette though I could have also never responded to you, which also happens a TON on here. Again, no hard feelings and hope you got your ISO's

Imo.. If you want a trade set in stone, you’d both agree to a trade request.

I haven’t seemed to have any issues going that route myself.
    • This for that
    • Then agree on it
    • Then how soon can you send out
    • Then finalize any additional details
    • Then both parties agree to do a trade request
    • Then everyone is happy without confusion
If the trader doesn’t seem serious about the offer, you could always just move forward.

I know both of you have done more trades than myself... However, I hope that helps.

Compliments to you both for not taking a (complete) dump on each other. Sounds like you both may do very well with others and be great traders. On this one it just didn't work out unfortunately.

Trade requests not set means trade isn't set. And then a low blow when the trader posts an ISO. And the message is super vague and just begging for traders to enquire. "I wasn't gonna say anything else"? But you did. And an ISO post isn't the place to air your dirty laundry. Being butt hurt does hurt your butt, but no trade request means no official trade set. And I think years ago this vicious move to slander somebody else's good name would have gotten you in some hot water. If you want to live in that back in the day world of unbalanced IPAs, go pop a Kate The Great and bust out the LOST dvds for a binge of yesteryear. My opinion is if you're a trader for 10yrs, you should know that until the trade request is accepted, anything you say or do doesn't mean the gentleman's handshake is the equivalent to a trade request. My last few trades didn't involve trade requests because I just kind of forget about it. If any of the traders backed out on an agreed upon shipping day and backs out, it would've sucked. But, thats what I would've gotten for not setting up trade requests. Flat out inappropriate dirty laundry dump in this traders ISO post. Not cool...
