North Country was the old mortuary in Slippery Rock, PA. I believe that the women's bathroom sink is an old embalming table.

This is one of the more interesting threads I've seen lately, and I appreciate that. These places look downright awesome. I would add Father John's in tiny Bryan, OH (http://www.fatherjohnsbrewery.com/places--faces.html)
Though I haven't been quite yet, and I've heard mixed reviews on the beer itself, I've heard it's a really cool old church. The link is the part of the site with photos, but you can browse around the rest of the website from sidebars as well.

Barber Shop in Dripping Springs TX. Was a garage and service station, a barber shop, now it has about 10 taps, and some are brewed on premise.

I almost forgot about Kelly's Brewpub in Albuquerque (also a BYOB establishment).
It was a gas station on Route 66, as you can see below.

    Holy. Flurking. Snit!

Pixar definitely used that image in their original Cars movie- I guess that makes it an iconic place. I haven't been to ABQ since '95, but damn I'd love to get back there and check that place out. That's incredible that they maintained the look to the place like that.

Unfortunately, this brewery - yes, it was a brewery - was demolished in Hamburg, Germany. The Astra beers are brewed by this brewery now; in a very boring building, I am sure.

I loved the shit out of Astra when I was in Hamburg! Nothing better than watching St. Pauli play with a Doner on your left and Astra on your right!

I used to live just across the street from this place on Austin. It was surrounded by chain link fence, covered in graffiti, full of refuse, and frequented by stray cats and the local crackhead crowd. Amazing.
