It would be nice... but I believe last time this came up the Mods stated that it's not something they care to crack down on, nor is it important enough to make the enhancement list to make a form for posting (think the IP forums where there are configured values for the regions). Without one of these two things, it is a pipe dream.
Yeah I recall that conversation. If it was something we cared about we could just self report and educated the newbies/unaware. But so far doesn't look like too many people care. I think it would be a touch easier on the eyes sorting quickly through the ever growing pages of offers which will likely get worse(?better) as BA and trading grow more popular.
It isn't a problem but many of us really like the site/community and don't mind little improvements over time. I was just wondering what others thought.
Doesn't matter to me but I can see your point. I can also almost guarantee this is on the bottom of their list of ways to improve the site.
I prefer ISO first because if I don't have what the trader is looking for then I don't care what is FT. However, I'm not super active in the trade scene so it doesn't Impact me a ton.
Yeah man, I get it! I am definitely all for process improvement. I can see both sides to it, I was just pointing out that we live in a world where craft beer being traded over the Internet has small enough problems like this, we are doing something right. Cheers man!
I legitimately don't mind either way. If the overwhelming majority and/or the mods prefer ISO first couldn't the forum code just be altered?... Rather than having an open-ended "Thread Title" box, there could be one box for ISO and one for FT where you enter your beers. When the thread is created it will default to "ISO: (your input)" being first. This would solve the problem of the format and of the mods having to spend a lot of time policing it.
I prefer FT first because if they aren't offering anything I'm in interested in I can scroll passed it.
obviously putting the ISO first makes it much easier to just scan down the list and see what people are looking for. see one that you have and want to trade then you can scan over to see what they want.

At the very least, the iso should be in the subject line. I've seen too many Iso: see inside. I can't trade what I don't have, so it's pointless to only list the ft

I'd like a uniform approach with a mild preference for ISO 1st. That said, I don't care *that* much so I didn't vote. Perhaps we could have a rule that isn't enforced so then the more annoying dickheads could chime in whenever someone neglected to do it *right*...I would sooo support this if only we could also have an enforceable rule that the dickheads pokes & pings had to be amusing &/or entertaining.
The general problem here is that they're *not* entertaining...and then the jerk mods have to step in. They are the wurst.
