The beer has been flowing for most people, but you are correct. If we survive saturday night, I think we will be ok

There's probably a decent # of people who haven't come to the forum yet and don't know how to use it yet either, so I would give it a couple of weeks or maybe until the forums and site are integrated before we really get a feel of what's going to happen. It seems to be going somewhat smooth so far though.

Instead of "BM sent" you now hace the option to like a post. Maybe just like it and send the BM. That way, the person gets an alert and a message in the inbox. People will get the same hint. If you liked the post, it's assumed you sent a message and are "claiming" the trade.

Still helps if people go in and edit to close a post.

Or you could just say nothing. You get an alert when you get a BM.

I also think there should be dislike buttons. If you agree that the trade is awesome LIKE it, if you think its absurd dislike it :grinning: Man all my trades would get disliked so hard. ;D

This. Just like before, there is something that alerts you when you have a new message.

Hahahaha if there was a dislike button I could only imagine the tissues this site would need for people crying all the time when someone dislikes a post or a trade.

That's really cool. I personally like seeing it based on response time, even if you get silly bumps often it'll be actual conversation (like the one about Zwanze '11, where the discussion was actually informative). But I get that some people don't, and it's great that both can happen simultaneously.

Just an FYI, you can edit a post after someone else replies while you were posting to reply to them. Another nice thing about this software, you can reply to multiple people in one post very easily and clearly.

Yes...this! I can see it now. People mailing people every second "hey man why did you dislike my thread/post/trade?"

I think a 'is you crazy' button and a 'LOLWUT' button would be snazzy too.

See I like that. If someone clicked on something saying "YOU CRAZY MOFO" I would probably agree with them.

The site owners. We basically have 3 people watching over thousands on a part-time basis right now, so only having to deal with the occasional moderator issue should be a welcome reduction in work load.

Regardless, most every forum on the Internet has moderators, and this is rarely a legitimate concern. You only give mod powers to people who have been around for years and never cause issues. In the rare circumstance where a moderator goes rogue, I'm sure Todd will be swift to take action. Beyond that, good moderators tend to not be too heavy handed, and thus they don't give you a ton of room for complaint. We all kind of know when a post/thread should be deleted, even if we secretly enjoy watching the car crash in action.
