I was at dogfish last weekend and they had a preview of the American Beauty on tap... Its a pretty good brew. The granola is just another grain in the brew, just like adding specialty malts or grains into anything,

Weird. I heard it was patchouli was the extra. And as a very special release, part was dry-"hopped" with hops' cousin....

Captain Lawrence 5 Years Later label has GD style lightnings on it that are reference to Head Brewer Scott Vaccaro's love of GD. Was at a release at the old brewery where a show I recognized from Brendan Byrne was blasting full volume.

I would be doing that if I could!!! I used to have a particular 78 Terrapin that I would listen to SO MUCH. Best song ever... I want to say it was 3/18/78 but don't quote me on that.

I have Dick's Picks 15 (1977). Love that version. Funny enough, I have a fantastic version of when Phish covered this a while back. I listen to that a lot too.

Vol. 15 is awesome! Peggy-O and They Love Each Other come to mind when I think of it. The Terrapin is wonderful as well.
Edit: And I used to have that Phish show as well! I've lost all my CD's over the years though, whether to friends or bad weathering.

Could anyone clarify if Rogue's Dead Guy Ale is actually acknowledging the Dead? I'm always inclined to believe that because it says "gratefully deadicated" on the package.

Edit: Nevermind, decided to just look it up... HISTORHISTORY
In the early 1990s Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day) for Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. The Dead Guy design proved so popular with consumers and especially Grateful Dead fans, that we made it the label for our Maierbock ale. Even though the association with the Grateful Dead band is pure coincidence, we have gratefully dedicated Dead Guy Ale to the Rogue in each of us.

Well...I would recommend anything by Golden Road Brewing...the brewery name is taken from the Grateful Dead's "The Golden Road (To Unlimited Devotion)"
