It’s not worth it dude, trust me. Keep your bottles and trade for an MD, let it age a year or so for the maple to die down a bit and then drink it with a thimble of some good bourbon on the side. Same effect. Trust me I just had it on tap and went through the trouble of getting a bottle after years of chasing it and it’s marginally different from MD imo (slightly less maple sweetness, coffee comes through a bit more, and has a hint of barrel on the finish). Don’t get me wrong it’s done well just not worth all that.

I couldn’t agree more with the comment above. I traded my bottle of kbbs the morning after the release to get some other great beers I might otherwise not get to try. Of course getting to try a pour of kbbs during the release made the decision easier. Don’t drain your cellar for one 12 oz beer!

BBT b1, Nillerzzzzz and '18 BC reserve. Three solid beers I now don't have to chase.

Coming from someone who has a bottle and also got a pour over the weekend, this is exactly how I feel as well.

Where were you in line? I was about 2/3 back and my first pour was decent - relatively speaking - went back for another after the entire line had been served. That second pour ... literally one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Strange that there wouldbe significant variation from a single barrel. Kinda makes me wonder about bottle variation

Really? That's very interesting! I was towards the end of the line, and while I agree it was a great beer, I just don't think it's worth the ammunition needed in order to land a bottle.
