    I used to say the same thing, then I had this year's multiple times with many other world class beers next to it, including some from the above list, Assassin, coffee Assassin, Bean Spirit and other well-regarded BA or maple/coffee stouts. MD beat everything except maybe regular Assassin. (For posterity, Bean Spirit held up well in such tough competition, which is why I mentioned it).

    MD this year is simply amazing. I had it at the Rubiayat share along side some amazing BA beers including FOb3,Chaos17, Assassin 13-16 and coffee, SR71. It is not a BA beer, but it was not out of place.
