It's not that bad of an offer. Have you even had Reserve?

This is both $:$ on a retail & secondary market. Both bottles sold for $25-30 retail & are closing around $100 aftermarket. Do you have a pappy barrel #2 or #4?

I do and yes I’m aware of the idiots getting rid of pappy for $100 and no body wanting to give up something nice for pappy but everyone is trying to score one. I’ll wait a year or so when this bottle sky rockets because i too! Set the market value because I posses one.

Okay. So obviously this offer isn't for you. Now what? You saw an offer that you're not interested in & decided to comment based on what? I said that I'd be willing to add but you chose to ignore that. That being said, where would you like this conversation to go from here? What is your end game? You're talking down a beer that you've never had & talking up a beer you own. So, what is the outcome that you're looking for? Because from where I sit, this is a trade that you're not looking to close. Based on that, there shouldn't be a reason for you to comment.

The reality is this. It's just beer. There's no need to pretend that it's anything more then what it is. No need for a pedestal because at the end of the day, we consume it & piss it out.

Now, if someone would like to trade, by all means let's talk. If not, no big deal.

I wouldn't say disrespectful come on now.. The "4" is doable here maybe with a plus since it's the blend, they produced twice as much, and it's got some less favorable reviews compared to #1-3. Still all of them were limit 1 and people in CA can prob get a reserve with bottle logic beers with higher limits.

    I

I didn't think it was disrespectful. Then again, it's just beer. If someone gets butt hurt over a trade proposal then they probably shouldn't be consuming an adult beverage.

That and it's clear he's trying to "win" by shitting on your trade offer while pumping his beer. Then he goes on to treat it like a f'in commodity by holding on to it and trying to "set the market value". I hope it becomes infected so no one wants it and he can't give it away.

True.. Its funny how many people have the same handles on here and insta-g, who hype the beer up on both sites and then they are the exact people trying to flip them immediately. And after Sinhoptra is saying he's going to hold on to his #4 for a year he's started a new thread trying to trade it... yeah it sucks you finally think you landed some whale since it was limit 1pp and sold out in less than 20 seconds (not the pappy #4) and you've been dying to land some Midwest gen but at the end of the day it's just beer. It's a never ending cycle of hunting so no point getting caught up in the moment

Yeah, it's way too common for people to act like him now a days. I remember a better time in the community when it was all about sharing good beer & making new friends. Not making max profits or arguing over bottle counts & aftermarket bullshit. Ah, those were the days.

Yes sir, that's definitely part of the reason why I don't trade as much. Gotta be honest though, I was initially against replies for reasons just like this but have been pleasantly surprised with the lack of thread shitting, that's one thing that I didn't expect.

Same here. I don't trade nearly as much as I used to either. Honestly I don't look in these forums very much to notice the amount of thread shitting. Mostly for the simple fact that it makes me upset to see what the community has come to. It's very frustrating & discouraging.
