For those of you with Chocolate Rain.. would you trade it for: 4x Alesmith 2011 Decadence 4x Firestone Walker Sucaba 4x Lost Abbey Deliverance 4x Lost Abbey Angel Share (brandy) Why? or why not?
No to all of the above. Primarily because I have them all and I'm trying to decrease the number of beers in my cellar. But in terms of trade value, I think it's pretty fair.
I am in the same boat because Massachusetts receives everything I have been offered. Maybe if I lived in the Carolina's?
I'm simply not interested in having those other bottles. I'd essentially be trading a CR for things I'd drink one of and then give out as extras.
Wait, all 16 bottles for a CR? Or are those 4 different offers and you want a yes/no to each? 4x Alesmith 2011 Decadence -- no. Haven't liked any of the Decadence's that I've tried. 4x Firestone Walker Sucaba -- no. It gets distributed here. 4x Lost Abbey Deliverance -- no. Same as above. 4x Lost Abbey Angel Share (brandy) -- no. It isn't worth drinking once, let alone 4 times.
No because I have traded for all of those beers you listed without giving up anything approaching a Chocolate Rain. Sucaba and Parabola seem to be everyone's default add-on to low trade offers for rare beer. I was offered those beers almost every time I posted an ISO. I had to remove them from my wants list. Some RS members, myself included, are trying to reduce their cellar inventory to make room for upcoming releases and trades of those releases. That could also affect possible trades.
Pretty much the same reasons as above and also would think most people have multiples of most of those bottles you have listed already so no need to get more
I'd trade $4$ if: I liked the other stuff enough to want 4 bottles It wasn't my last bottle of Chocolate Rain The other trader has a good reputation Shipping costs were low or in-person
No. The bottom 3 can be had easily (with Angel's Share on shelves year round), and Decadence doesn't seem very good from the reviews. Not to say 4 Sucaba's for 1 Chocolate Rain isn't "fair" in many senses of the word, but a Chocolate Rain owner likely has plenty of ammo to land Sucaba for a lot less. If you're going to trade Chocolate Rain, you may as well go after a tough want.
