That cold press stout is amazeballz, wish I lived closer to Duluth I'd have a growler constantly in my fridge (hmm maybe time to go visit family up north)

I'm big fan of Foto. I've never had Camo, but it must not represent Lucid well. Foto is a solid IPA!

Too bad. Saga is good for the price, but there are many, many recently new MN IPA that destroy Saga. You can't put a price on a good, local, IPA.

Give me a list of these "many many local" IPAs " that destroy saga because I want to try them. There's good beer out there but I think this is an exaggeration...

Saga easily stands shoulder to shoulder with the best IPAs out there. The fact that I can afford to drink it is just icing on the cake.

Furious, Overrated, Size 7, PB Golden IPA, Masmala Mama, Foto, etc. Nevermind. The Saga love on this board blows me away. Tried it many times, don't understand. And if we expand outside of MN, we have Ethos, Inversion, Two-hearted, Odell's, Lagunitas, etc. So many great options, and Saga just doesn't stand shoulder to shoulder with these, IMHO. IF it wasn't brewed here, no one would care. I know, flame on….

Someone should lobby for two boards:

I can! I'm sure I'm Saga Fanboy #1, but while there may be a few IPA's available locally that are 'better', they arent that much better for me to justify the extra $$. Fury is the exception.

I would however disagree that Laguanitas, Lucid, Inversion and Overrated are superior to Saga.

To each there own. Personally i love Inversion, one of my favorite IPAs. Tried Saga many times. Would love to fall in love with it given the price and avail, but I find it undrinkable. I'm in the minority here and I promise to not respond to any further Saga threads.

I have zero connection to MN so it isn't homerism for me (hell I actually didn't care much for Summit in general until they released Saga) when I say Saga does indeed hold its own against all the other IPA's mentioned. Your palate is wrong :grinning:

See that's what I don't understand about the Saga lovers. Sure, it's good, and nicely priced, but what's the point of being a BA if all you ever drink is Saga and never try anything new?

I actually do drink many beers. I just rediscovered Saga while saving for my daughters wedding. Of course there are many great IPA's out there (currently really liking Green Flash and Sculpin). It's just nice to know that there's a very affordable and delicious local option always available. I consider Furious an animal all its own and it's ranked well above Saga in my book. I guess when I asked for the list, I was looking for great fresh options that will be available and fresh in any store. Truly there are too many great IPA's out there right now...what a problem to have!! The wedding is over, so time to continue exploring!! Cheers
