Greetings fellow BAs! Does anybody know where I can purchase Italian style beer bottles for my homebrew?
I didn't know that Italy had its own styles, but I'll recommend that if you find them, you probably also need to get some crown caps (if that's what they use) because I've had difficulty getting American crown caps to fit right on import bottles that I've tried re-using for homebrew.
I've seen Italian carboys. They look a lot like American carboys. Most caps take to a bench capper. If you have a wing capper you may be SOL.
Can you describe the style? It's not a known thing, at least not to me. Leave it to the Italians to have style in their bottles. Cheers.
If you can't find it at homebrew supply shops, that means you would have to buy a pallet of bottles from a wholesaler.
Like these? If so, good luck! I've tried tracking bottles like this down to no avail. So I've just been drinking as many Italian Sours and Jester King as I can.
If that's what you're looking for, they have them by the case here (at least it looks the same to me): http://www.txbrewing.com/330-ml-morning-bottles-12-per-case.html Also have similar styles in 500 ml and 750 ml.
