Between Utica and Syracuse so 1.5 hours away from the brewery, lol.

I was hoping/thinking it would be $25-$27. It reminds me of the Southern Tier pack from last year which was priced about the same I think. People scoff at the price, but it's not every day you see a variety pack of huge beers like this. Hope to see this in Rochester soon.

It's not the price I'm concerned about, it's the timing. Isn't Celebration due out soon? How can I drink my full share of Celebration when I need to buy these new beers to try. First world beer problems.

Celebration? What about the Enjoy By, DirtWolf, Two Hearted and (soon) Founders Harvest Ale we're dealing with already?? First world problems indeed.

^^^ this, I nabbed Dirt Wolf, Two Hearted and Oarsman (for the wife hope she digs it). Still havent gotten any of the Enjoy By in the Utica/Syracuse area, bummer. Thats about the cash limit in a trip without hearing about it.

Seems pretty reasonable for 3 high abv one off beers.

Yeah. I know. Picked up a growler of Two Hearted yesterday [I've already had it in bottles]. I've had Enjoy by, in fact I was in San Diego last week and I had the 11-12-13 version on draft the day it was released. Mmmm good. Saw DirtWolf, am anticipating Founders Harvest Ale and the beer guy at one of my regular stores handed me Double Dose IPA from Lawson's/Otter Creek without telling me the price [$18.99 a 4 pk.]. It's probably great, since he hasn't steered me wrong yet but geez, that's $4.50 a bottle. Hell, Pliny is $5 a bottle in S.F. and it's 16.9 oz. Oh and I didn't mention I brought back a stash of Alpine, Knee Deep & Deschutes brews from California.
I am anticipating a very enjoyable next few weekends.

Still having a hard time deciding on whether I'll pull the trigger on Double Dose if/when it makes it to the area. There's just too many other good new beers out right now and that pricetag is painful even if it is a Lawson's collaboration. It's a crazy month to be an IPA fan. It'll be nice to give my wallet a break for a little while once Founders Harvest, Ithaca Box of Hops and SN Celebration show up here.

I live in Ithaca and when I saw that at our Greenstar market it was $26 and change I let them keep it. Then I thought well what about wegmans and the various gas stations? So I went to Pete's and picked it up for $21.29. Reasonable . . . very reasonable. I didn't check wegmans yet but if it is much different I will post it tomorrow. So far, a $5 dollar discrepancy right in town here.

    :grinning: Got "the BOX"

I'm in Rochester - that would be too bad if it didn't make it here, makes my wallet happy but my liver sad.

Not bad, but I'm sure it'll automatically go up a couple of dollars as soon as it has to travel. We've got a couple of shops doing it right here, hopefully it will be around $25 when it comes to town.

It made it to Putnam County, which is only considered upstate to anyone who lives in the 5 boroughs.

And the shame is that there are people who will not shop around and find the cheaper price for the same product. Or think that because it's more expensive, it's fresher. Here's one for ya - just came back from San Francisco and had Pliny the Elder on draft [much better than even a fresh bottle] and at the same bar, Sculpin was $1 more a pint.

$22 at my local beer store. Stoked for this Double Zilla.

I went with my friend and we both got a box. He also got a 4 pack of Devil Dancer and a 6er of Two Hearted. He says "I don't just have a box of hops, I have a fridge of hops."

I emailed Chirsan Lichtenstein, the sales manager of Ithaca Beer Co, and he said..."There will be a limited release in South Jersey." I already do know that Richie and Page will not be carrying it and that High Grade Distributors has it in their system, but doesn't have a price on it yet. The guy said this means they will probably be carrying it. That is all I know at this point in time. Hope this was helpful.

Also, he told me which distributors carry Ithaca in Jersey, but not necessarily the Box of Hops. Here's part of an email from him...

"the distributors we have covering NJ are
    Ritchie and Page
    High Grade Beverage
    Nash Distributors
    Konrad distributors
    Harrison
Not all of them are getting the Box of Hops, but if you are3 having trouble getting hold of any of these, let me know and I will see if I can help.. thanks again!
    Cheers
    Chirsan"

I emailed this guy back and forth a few times and I've gotta say that he was very prompt with his replies and really helpful with making sure I find this limited variety pack. If you have any questions, this guy will do whatever he can to help you out.
