Ithaca Ground Break 2013 is out.

    This is one of my favorite beers. I live 35 minutes from the brewery and my timing was right tonight. The Brewery started selling bottles and on tap Ground Break. I don't think the general BA community quite gets the saison style of beer. This is based on the BA score of 88 and the bros score of 96 (world class). Have you tried it, what do you say?

    Sad to admit I haven't tried it, maybe the only one they have put out I haven't tried. Will be on the lookout for this to finally enjoy some.

    The BA community dosent get the Saison style? Paging Hill Farmstead, Tired Hands and others that make some truly World Class saisons.

    Ground break is a middle of the roa beer. That's why it gets a middle of the road score. Nothing ground breaking about it (pun intended)

    That is a fantastic beer! I'll have to see if its made its way to Rochester yet.

    a great beer and I would not consider an 88 score the middle of the road.

    Its a good saison that you can get in 6 packs for a decent price. Saisons should be sessionable IMO and it is great that Ithaca provides this.

    Glad someone posted this. It's a nice, benchmark example of the style. As others noted, too few of these available in 6-packs. Love having this available locally.
