Ithaca Java Power

Grabbed the Box of Hops today. The Pacific Gravity is nice. The Java Power will be a nice brunch beer.

 

I picked up Java Power yesterday as a single (as well as a Pacific gravity). Just tried the Java Power and really like it. Flower Power is one of my favorite IPAs and the addition of coffee is just great. On the first sip I didn't sense that much coffee but on the second sip it was definitely there. And it seemed to become more obvious as I proceeded - not sure why but that is what I was sensing. I really liked this one! I'll try the Pacific Gravity tomorrow...

 

I thought the Pacific Gravity was great. Where did you pick up singles of it? At the brewery or a bottle shop?

I grabbed the Box of Hops last night and had one of each. All were really damn good, having had everything except Pacific Gravity before I knew it was a smart purchase for me. But Pacific Gravity, for me, is by far the best beer in the box. That was a real pleasant surprise! The Java Power is ridiculously good too. Oddly, my least favorite was Creeker. I remember really enjoying that when I had a draft offering of it back in 2013.

 

I agree with all of the above. I'm not sure whether the complimentary beers got better or Creeker got worse. It's different hops, a different year. Still a really good beer, though.

Just finished my last Java Pwr yesterday. Lots more coagulation of the floaties and the coffee flavor really was popping, much more that when I first got it almost a month ago. Fantastic beers all around.
I may just have to grab another Box of Hops before it's too late.

 

Progress, Ithaca. Have you ever gone back for a second Box of Hops before? I know it's only the third installment, but still.
