Besides Ithaca Beer co. Any other brewery suggestions to hit in the Ithaca area on a Saturday? Bottle shops? Thanks in advance.

Abandon Brewing in Penn Yan makes lovely beers in a beautiful farm setting. It's within an hour of Ithaca.

Haven't been to Horseheads Brewery, but was told they were solid, if unspectacular.

I also haven't been to North Brewing in Endicott, but they get stellar beer reviews on this sit. Can anyone confirm their alleged greatness?

Finger Lakes Beverage Co is an absolute must. Probably the best beer shops within 100 miles.

Hit up Finger Lakes Beverage Center for sure, great selection and they have beers on tap (plus friendly staff - my car died in the parking lot and they gave me a jump).

I would check out Ithaca Ale House downtown as well. I stopped in over the summer and Lawson's Super Session #2 was on tap among other good choices.

I would swing by Ithaca Beer Company for sure, it's right outside town.

Not sure if I would stop in Binghamton/Endicott if you're passing through, but Sam The Beer Man is a great bottle shop right off the I-81/88 N split in Binghamton. $12 growler fills on Friday evenings too

Depending where you are coming from, The North and Galaxy Brewing are good places to stop on the way from 81. If you are coming from 90 you should make a detoured way to get to Prison City Brewing. Ithaca coffee company off of Triphammer probably has the best craft drafts. It is a strange set up, but good beers.

Fingerlakes bev is the one and only bottle-shop in town. If you cant find it there you cant get it in NY (or its out of season). Ale House does have good beer... I can't complain about their burgers either but in the end it's just a bar.
look no further than here my friend:
    search google: FingerLakes beer trail.

Best bet is to come up through Binghamton, hit Galaxy/Water Street in Bingo, The North in Endicott (of course), then Farmhouse in Owego and take 96B up to Ithaca.

Two Goats is a nice place to hang out on a Saturday. If looking for breweries, head to Elmira for Horseheads, Birdland, Upstate (and hit Ithaca Beer Co too). Nothing that will blow your socks off, but decent enough beer.

Might as well go to bandwagon brewpub as well and Ithaca coffee co always has a nice taplist too

Agreed. Prison City is pouring 3 sours right now, all incredible. Their Riot IPA is no joke either. Also doing 'crowlers' now, so you can, finally, get fills when you visit.

Stop by Two Goats if for just the view...single best view in the Finger Lakes region (in one guy's opinion).

Make that two guys opinions, agree 100% on Two Goats, get the roast beef when you're there.
They are the one place we make sure to hit every time we are up there.

Went to Ithaca over the summer and I can fully back up what has been said about Two Goats. I'm not sure what was better, the view or the roast beef sandwich. The beer was solid, too.

Without a doubt Finger Lakes Beverage Center (Ithaca Coffee Shop is good too but nowhere near as big a selection). The Ithaca Ale House has good food and beer (I love their guacamole and brie appetizer).

As others have said, if you go by Binghamton/Endicott, definitely hit The North (my top brewery here and just made waves at EBF), Water Street (only if you like traditional European-style beers...their Hefeweizen is on tap now, which is the best this side of the Atlantic), and Galaxy (great beer but overpriced food, IMO).
