    Ithaca Brewery
Ithaca Ale House-Solid tap selection and good pub food
Bandwagon Brewpub-Decent beers, friendly staff and just a couple blocks from Ithaca Ale House.
Fingerlakes Beverages-Probably the best beer store in the area.

There are several breweries in the area. Horseheads and Abandon come to mind.

Tasted something from Hopshire Farms that was very good.

I agree with Finger Lakes Beverage and Ithaca Beer Co. I wouldn't bother with Hopshire or Bandwagon. Northstar can be a good spot for dinner and beer. Out of town a ways, Two Goats is a great locale perched above the shore of Seneca Lake.

I'll be in the Ithaca area soon. Do any of the NE breweries distro there like Maine or Tree house? Thanks

Are Hopshire beers bland or do they have multiple problems going on with them?

I just picked up a Lunch at Finger Lakes Beverage. One left... get down here!

We had NEBCO for a short while, but then it dried up. Tree House you have to go get right at the source. Yeah, not a whole lot from the best of the best from New England. But we have lots of stuff that you don't get down in FL, for sure.

I only went once after they opened, so my opinion may not be valid. I really can't say what's up, it's just that it tasted to me like generic new brewery: beers didn't necessarily taste to style. Really nice folks, and I'm sure they're constantly working on their product.

The one beer I had from them was BA Stout that someone picked up a growler of for me. I thought it was well made and enjoyable. For all I know everything else could be terrible (or great) though.

Good to know. I'll definitely be on the lookout for it. I'm a little jaded, as we have about 20 new breweries that opened in the region in the last few years, and very few sips have been splendid.

Thanks for the insight. I won't be there until next week, so I'm sure that last Lunch will be gone...

Love the Ale House. My wife went to Cornell--I'll always have fond memories of that area

If you go past Binghamton, NY on your way there are 4 breweries within 15 minutes of each other (Waterstreet, Galaxy, Binghamton, and North)
