The list of events looks good!

    What's everyone looking forward to?

Nano Brewery Night at Naked City, Holy Mountain and E9 tap takeover at The Masonry, Battle of the Gorge, Wood Aged WA, Rise of the Three Headed Hop Monster, Shelton Bros takeover, and Alpha Afternoon are what I'm eyeing after a quick look at the list.

Naked City has a pretty strong lineup for my tastes. I'll be spending more time than usual there for sure!

Typically look forward to Elysian Firkin' Firkin.' This years lineup seems off....

"Battle of the Buds. We'll have Bud, Bud Light, Bud Light Lime, Bud Ice, Bud Light Lime-A-Ritas, Bud Select, the elusive Bud Brewmasters Private Reserve, Elysian Gourdgia on My Mind Pecan Peach Pumpkin Amber, 10 Barrel "Sellout Select Sours," and MOAR!"

Without a firkin of Bud Dry, that event is useless...

It's a damn pain in the ass having to click on each event to find out where it's being held though. If y'all have never gone, I suggest hitting up Barleywood Squares. It started up here during BBW, and it's a blast. I'll keep looking at the events, I'd like to make it down for something.

Agreed. I was definitely not enjoying that aspect of the site.

Yeah. I complained about that a couple of years ago and got a very terse reply. Don't expect a change unless they got a new webmaster.

The best complete listing of events I found last year was in one of the free newspapers (Seattle Weekly?). Disappointing that the website can't get this right.

Another year of SBW, another year without an Untappd badge.

I wonder how much money Untappd requires to make one of those special badges.

    I think I heard $600.

It's not that big of a deal, I just find it funny when there are random small towns with badges for their beer weeks, but not Seattle.

$600 could probably buy a web-site not created on geocities.

My friend Justin likes to hit up BPP for Iron Brewer on his way back from Mothers day in Aberdeen. I've never really spent time in West Seattle, how easy would it be to spend the day, then hit BPP?

I usually go to the burger battle at Brouwers, but don’t see it this year. Maybe they aren’t doing. They always have good pairings and something left over from whatever event was previous. Last year I think it was stout fest. It’s never been crowded either which is a huge plus. Bummer if it was canceled.

Seeing how Sour Fest is a gigantic shit show if you don't take the day off work and wait in line before Brouwers opens, I'm not even trying.

The Melvin/Barley Browns/Boneyard night has me excited.

Maybe its the beer snob in me but the sour fest taplist at Brouwers this year is kind of mediocre, nothing too crazy. I have already had almost every beer on that list and it is hard to pay 7-10$ a glass to drink a beer I have already had. I wish they had smaller pours for cheaper I really don't like drinking 12oz glasses of extreme sour beer. Hopefully they will break out some good rare stuff not on the list (Cantillon???)

brouwers events have had more of a local focus this year, and i'm loving it. hard liver and their anniversary events were both low key, no lines, similar local focus (relative to previous years), and you could pretty much go in at any time both weekends and get everything you were looking for. i could see from a ticker perspective that this isn't as ideal of an event as it has been in the past, but that's something i really could care less about.

i am bummed to see stout fest only featured one fremont stout...

Definitely Rise of the Three Headed Hop Monster. I mean, Boneyard, Melvin, AND Barley Brown's!? Ridic.

I don't think anyone is going to want to miss Yeast Mode at the Pine Box. Heard some extremely cool stuff was heading there.
