Dan Rogers was the original recipe brewer when he was at MBC, and bought it when MBC went under. It was back last year at Griffin Claw as well. It was a shell of it's previous version IMO.

These new cans look cool, but I hope it doesn't taste like it did last year.

I thought it was pretty close to what I remembered. What about it led you to that opinion?

I was of the same opinion that it did not seem as good....With that said, now that it seems they got the hang of their new equipment and this being the second time they made it, I expect it to be just as wonderful as I remember

More of a dry finish with less sweet brown sugar.

Yeah, I was missing the sweetness of it....It used to be my favorite pumpkin beer just ahead of Liberty streets pumpkin pie..last year pumpkin pie blew it out of the water...

Fair enough, fellas. I enjoyed it quite a bit and it's probably my wife's favorite beer. We didn't notice but maybe we were blinded by a bit of euphoria.

Unless I overlooked it, I didn't see a release date. Has anyone seen it on shelves yet or know if it hits distribution anytime soon?

Anybody seeing this yet? Hoping a good amount of it gets released. For what pumpkin beers are worth, this is a good one .

One of my favorite pumpkin beers on tap last year. One of the pumpkin beers I am looking forward to the most in bottles/cans this year. The only one I may be looking forward to more is Vivants Pumpkin Tart.

I'm very picky about pumpkins beers and I remember trying this on tap last year and thinking it had a touch too much spice to it. I'll still get some though, will be cool to have a canned pumpkin beer.

I've yet to see this anywhere in Oakland or Wayne county. However, I've been over to Canada a few times as of late and snagged a great pumpkin ale from a Canadian brewery called Mill St. The beer is " Nightmare on Mill Street Pumpkin Ale" ....probably my 2nd favorite pumpkin brew behind The Screamin Pumpkin Ale we've been discussing. If you ever venture across the border seek it out.

It's all over the place in Oakland County. Nearly every store I have visited in Royal Oak and Bloomfield areas have it,a long with a ton of bars I have hit. Also, Griffin Claw is in Oakland County, so you could always hit it up to buy it from the source!

The beer is making its last appearances in Oakland County, get it while you can, the distro is out, so you should be able to find it.
