I just got a text message from my buddy who I've been sharing good beer with lately. We were talking about good beer and he sends me:
"There was my life before this summer, and there will be my life after."
Makes me smile to have friends who can appreciate the variety of good beer out there. He's getting more into it than I am honestly and that's awesome!

I have recently got my wife into some beer and she has dove into IPA's like crazy.

Keep an eye on him. I've brewed beer with friends and thought I'd converted them but they went back to the dark side.
If he looks at Busch light tell him "these aren't the droids you're looking for".

Soon, we shall have enough converted to complete the ritual...on Black Tuesday. Anyways, a buddy of mine said to me the other day, "I used to like Blue Moon. Now, I don't really care for it." I almost cried tears of joy. I don't wanna take all the credit for his maturation, but I think it might have something to do with me introducing him to good wheat beers. They grow up so fast.

One of the guys I converted to craft beer has started homebrewing and is turning other people into craft beer drinkers. I remember one of my college professors describing how they used to have to light the street lamps by hand and described it as 'punching holes into the dark' and him teaching us was like lighting those street lamps and creating enlightenment. That's kinda how I feel when I get people into craft beer and homebrewing. I'm a bad influence...

If any of you are curious, this was a black studies class but I hold a BS in Biology.

People, stop converting! We're at capacity as is! Let the brewers catch up for a few years.

Personally, my take is that I don't necessarily want to convert, just let more people know that there are other beers out there besides BMC. Since everybody's tastes are different, I really don't know what to suggest to someone who has always believed that Heineken was a premium beer. Therefore, if someone insists I recommend something, I try to ease people into craft with a pale ale and let them go from there. My 21 y.o. son, who drinks with his wallet, has been quite impressed with some of the beers I have given him [mostly IPAs & DIPAs] and has even gone so far as to buy some himself [but he prefers to have me pay, duh]. Is he a convert? No, not yet but at least he knows there's something better out there.

Yeah I don't go out of my way to convert my friends, some of them just pick it up once they realize how good beer can be.
I have another friend that loves trying my good beers but he's not much of a drinker anyways so I know he hasn't been buying any, just trying mine lol. I really like sharing special beers though, makes it more enjoyable when you can hang with a friend, appreciate a good beer, and knock each other out in Fight Night.

My friends are just too cheap. The closest I have come is a friend who loves IPAs, but is only interested in finding the highest IBU & ABV for the cheapest price, regardless of flavor. When I invite him over for beers he finishes every one in a minute or two, like we are in college drinking Hams.

Yeah I had a friend drinking a Rasputin once...he was in a rush apparently.
I look up and see him guzzling the last half of it, the look on his face was priceless.
I said: "Whoa! That's a sippin beer man!"
He doesn't ask for Rasputin anymore.

Yeah, whenever someone I know wants to order a blue moon and Oberon is also on-tap I tell them to order Oberon.

    I'd order a Blue Moon, I think it's better.
