I love the beer styles this site has like American Porter and American Imperial Stout. They just want to claim anything and everything for themselves the greedy feckers.

It was quite nice. Not much taste other than coffee and bitterness provided by hops/chocolate though. Not sure why it's such a cult beer but it is very tasty and very drinkable for 8.2%.

the simply dark was a bit like a black and tan made with dark mild and brown ale now lets see if the titanic stout can measure up to the white star

Just the one beer for me tonight, currently giving it a 30 minute spelll in the fridge as not sure what to expect

    http://www.shmaltzbrewing.com/HEBREW/j15.html

15 hops, 15 malts, 15 additions and a whacking 15% ABV and its a bomber of the stuff!

PS - pairing it with a homemade curry just for shits and giggles !

That could be me after a hot curry with a 15% bomber on the go !!!

The pairing was really good btw - strong & sweet brown beer tempering the chilli !!!

Back home from Norfolk for a day, felt I'd like some mild so slipped out to the Marquis of Granby at Granby (where else should it be?) and found some delectable Triple FFF Pressed Rat and Warthog in perfect nick. But I expect good beer from the Marquis.

That's one of the few milds that crops up around my local area. They don't seem big on milds around the Surrey/Hants/Berks borders which is a shame!

Now on the incredibly easy drinking nethergate Essex Border, blimey! Is there a hole in my glass? Will refill it with M&S/Adnams golden ale
