El Jefe today, DFPF on the way. What else does 2019 have in store?

Here's to the hype settling down a hair, and bottles being less of a pain to trade for. All about them Berliners, gotta get my vitamins somehow.

Just my opinion here...but most of the bottles tend to stick around in the tap room a lot longer than usual...and moving Wake bottles in trade/secondary has cooled off significantly...I'd say his hype is dying a little...

Agreed and it's...Because everyone wants the festival bottles.

So yeah reg release bottles are definitely down in hype. Which is fine because many are still very good.

According to Jon's personal IG, DFPF will be set up "differently than past releases" and will have 5-6 different bottles available. Here's hoping for online sales, because I'm definitely not up for a 10 hour camp out.

Also, Orange Dreamsicle cans are coming back. Hopefully they put a limit on them this time.

Seems like they'll doing wristband ahead of time with purchases.

So that Saturday those with bands don't have to wait

Does anyone know parking spots nearby JWB? And when should I arrive there to get those bottles? Seems they release at 12 pm for non-wristbanded people. I am living 4 hrs away from the brewery, and it will be the first time for me to visit JWB.

Previous...Typical waits are where your arrive before 5 am.

With wristband ahead of time....it might change that wait though

It’s kind of expensive but I usually park in that lot across from Coyo tacos. I doubt this release will be as bad as madness due to the wristband thing and because none of the stout bottles are barrel aged. You still might have to get there pretty early for the full allotment though

Could still end up crazy if people that get wristbands want more than 2 bottles of DFPF, they could show up early sat morning for the line then grab their full allotment afterwards

Had the Ottagoffa on Wednesday (on draft). Was pretty damn good. Not quite as good as I remember the original Affogatto being (needs a bit more espresso flavor for that), but considering affogatto is one of my favorite desserts I was definitely happy to see it on draft.

Making Whoopie was also on draft but didn't get a chance to try that one. Neither was allowing small pours, and there were other beers I wanted to get to as well.

But wristband bottle pickup is 10 AM to 12 PM and everyone else is 12 PM until sold out. So the only way to do both lines would be to get your full allotment first then wait all day in the other line.

Would just be smarter to bring a significant other and get two bands

Exactly. Which means more people who do not show up until 10 and will likely be in and out since not worth waiting in the other line at that point.

Is this for real? $25 not BA stouts (1pp?). $20 Weisse beer?

Having never had this guy's beers, although I see some cans with Dodgeball characters collecting dust in stores all over DC, from the outside looking in it seems like people trying to trade/sell his beers just give everything 5/5/5/5/5. Beer be cray these days.
