Bought an OG membership with no possibility of going to Florida in Jan, and have no qualms about this party. It was an add-on because the guy was so thankful to his contributors, not their friends who they could transfer a possible ticket to. Seems like people take that and run with it, asking for this that and the other.

I would imagine that he'll figure out a date as it gets closer to his actual opening date and come up with a game plan then, and not two days after he threw out an impromptu thank you party invite, IMO of course...

yeah, i'm taking that and running with it. look at me, trampling all over johnathan wakefield's generosity. i can't wait to sell my ticket to the highest bidder on BadTradersOnlyEbay.com. or, in the real world, my girlfriend loves beer as much as i do, and i'd like to take her with me, but we only have one membership.

Wasn't having a go at you just the easiest comment to respond to in the discussion. I think I saw that he's selling extra tickets to the donor party at $50 on the site...

I meant it more that I'm sure things will get figured out in due time.

41 days left to go...but this is going to pretty much come to a screeching halt with the OG Memberships all sewn up. They need to add something substantial in the 100-300 range. Probably can raise a lot more loot.

More beer rewards = more donations.
I'm sure they realize this though and are estimating their ability and capacity.
I'd better just stop going to this thread now though or I will never stop thinking about it and will gradually drive myself insane until I have a bottle of this stuff.
Ah, 3AM musings...but hey GTA V is awesome and it's keeping me awake.

Did everyone who purchased a membership get a confirmation email and/or able to see it if they login to crowd brewed website? I placed the order and received the confirmation screen, but never received an email and when I log into crowd brewed, I do not see anything under orders. If had had not taken a screen shot of the confirmation page, I would even be able to say I placed the order. Nothing has been taken from paypal either.

I sent an email to crowd brewed, but no response yet.

    Cheers

I'm in the same boat as you man. I placed my order and printed my confirmation screen, but never received an email and I do not have anything listed under my orders on Crowd Brewed's website. I assume this might be the way it works. You aren't charged anything until the end of the campaign is my understanding, and I believe someone confirmed that as well.

Also, if you click on backers it will show you a list of names.
You can then hit ctrl f and search for your name.

And yes, two employees of crowdbrewed confirmed, for this campaign, no one will be charged until Oct. 25th.

If anyone has ever backed a Kickstarter campaign, it operates in exactly the same manner. Since the campaigns don't actually get the money if they fail to reach their target, it saves people from getting charged when they donate and then having to do a slew of returns if it fails to reach its goal.

Paypal just "pre-approves" it, and then the website charges you at the end when the campaign is successful (Which in this case happened in like 25 hours).

I'm hoping they'll allow them to transfer, I just plan on giving it my trustee.

Just to add to the previous posts dealing with your question, I did not get an email from Crowd Brewed but you should have gotten an email from PayPal notifying you that you have approved CrowdBrewed to charge you at the end of the camapign.

I wonder does this mean paypal took the $ or put a hold on it now ( I'd like to not spend the money thinking it was already taken when its not) or paypal just sent an email saying hey, yea, you're cool we'll take that $$$ oct. 25 (or correct date).

I didnt see anything from Paypal, but I did get a response from Crowd Brewed confirming my order and I see myself listed in the backers. Cheers!

The email from PayPal just said that I have signed up for a preapproved payment plan with CrowedBrewed.com, LLC. It also says to view the details, log into PayPal homepage, go to your Profile, and click Preapproved Payments. Then click CrowedBrewed.com, LLC.

Im sure the preapproved payments wont go through until October 25th when the campaign ends so eveyone has a while to make sure eveything is in order.

Just wanted to get a heads up to folks that may be interested. The desire to have more beer options available has been addressed:

I picked up a couple more Donor Party beers. When ordering I am listing my Colorado address as the shipping address, am I correct in doing this? Or should I be listing my trustee's addy? I just don't want for my order to be deleted because I am not using a Florida zip code.
