I signed up. I've had the pleasure of meeting JW at Hunahpu Day the last two years and I'm in Tampa now for work. He met up with me the last two nights and shot the shit and we drank beer and he tasted some of my homebrew. JW is a great dude and he makes some awesome beer. I have zero hesitation supporting that and will enjoy sipping some PFDF in St. Louis at some point.

Quick question - did anyone get a confirmation email? I got the email saying my Pay Pal payment was preapproved but nothing from the CrowdBrewed site. I emailed them to see, but thought I'd check here too - just covering my bases before spots run out. Cheers!

Edit - just saw you can see the names of the backers and mine is there! Sweet!!

I may take you up in that offer.

Need to run it past girlfriend first. She should say yes as she's a big fan of the JW Dragon Fruit Passion Fruit

Nearly $62,000. Almost 15% over target in just over 36 hours. Unreal. Wish this guy the very best.

I foresee the Membership Society selling out today.

I cant help but think this fundraiser is going to come to a screeching halt once the OG Society memberships sell out. I think Wakefield should add another, maybe less expensive reward, to get beer into the backer's hands just so he can keep raising money for the 43 days he has left. I mean, hell, if he put up a reward for a 750ml bottle of DFPF for a $40-50 donation, I think it would still sell like hotcakes. That way he could raise much more than 80k or so.

He's already mentioned he's considering adding more rewards for "stretch" donations, which it seems will be used for the purchasing of cooperage.

Wanted to, but Bruery/CCB clubs took my monies first. Look forward to trying these out at some point.

Yea, but usually stretch goals are for everyone. Like, "If we hit $100,000, the blueprints to my brewery get released" or "If we hit $125,000, I'll hire Banksy to do my label art". I'm talking about adding individual incentives.

What the heck is cooperage? Google yielded a bunch of businesses as results.

Traditionally, a cooper is someone who makes wooden staved vessels, bound together with hoops and possessing flat ends or heads. Examples of a cooper's work include but are not limited to casks, barrels, buckets, tubs, butter churns, hogsheads, firkins, tierces, rundlets, puncheons, pipes, tuns, butts, pins and breakers.

The word is derived from Middle Dutch or Middle Low German kūper 'cooper' from kūpe 'cask', in turn from Latin cupa 'tun, barrel'.[1] Everything a cooper produces is referred to collectively as cooperage. A cask is any piece of cooperage containing a bouge, bilge, or bulge in the middle of the container. A barrel is a type of cask, so the terms "barrel-maker" and "barrel-making" only refer to one aspect of a cooper's work. The facility in which casks are made is also referred to as a cooperage.
