right, haha. Not sure you want to get into a math debate with someone who has his masters in accounting like Wakefield

Guess I’m going to try to get VIP so I get a chance at those big poppa variants lol

How were BA Boutit and the Boss Tycoon variants last time? Personally don’t think Boss Tycoon would lend itself very well to barrel aging but I haven’t had Sippin on Yak or Dipped in Sauce

Sippin on yak and dipped in sauce were two of my favorite beers at wakefest last year. Honestly they were a couple of the best beers I've ever had.

Both were very good. If you like Jwake style sweet stouts. All his beers taste kind of the same to me. I really like them though. All those big poppa variants are exciting.

I can’t remember if he’s ever even done a big weekday stout release like this tbh

One December he had a couple consecutive days off releases and some were stouts. But no not the norm

This release was much better...They had full allotments prebagged in a JWB reusable bag. I was out of the door by 1215

What's everyone's thoughts on Wakefest? Thinking about making the trek down if I can score tickets.

Man. I wish you luck brother. I'm going to try myself but you have to have top internet speeds and a LOT of luck.
EDIT: That's only for the VIP tickets. GA is pretty easy to get and a great time!

If you don’t care about the bottles you’ll have no problem getting tickets and going. VIP sells out right away and have first access to bottles, then GA gets to buy tickets and the rest of the bottles which happens pretty quickly too

Yeah I think i'm getting my hopes up a little too high on my odds of actually getting a VIP ticket. Was hoping to fly in from California for it to meet some NYC friends.

I read a instagram comment from someone saying people were "queuing up" on the website like 12 hours before they were for sale last year and still didn't get them? I don't know if that's how their ticket sales page actually works but that would suck.

Also, does anyone know if the tickets have to be assigned names at purchase? I was going to try for two and then give one to a buddy but not sure who yet. Is that not possible?

Names have to be assigned to each ticket. That being said, I don't think the entrance staff is that diligent in checking IDs against tickets.

And just my (unwanted) opinion here... unless you plan on flipping bottles or get off on IG dickswing posts, GA tix are the way to go.

I used a VIP bracelet that someone else bought. The ID attached to the bracelet only mattered for bottle pick up.
