They're both amazing but if I had a choice between the two it would be Miami Madness 100% of the time

I'd definitely choose Miami Madness over DFPF. I just recently had some at a bottle share and it was awesome. I guess I'll be waking up at 5am on Sept 3rd...

@HarryS do you know if the bottle count will be comparable to DFPF?

My buddy for DFPF showed around 10/1030 and got 4 bottles no problem. You think 5am is really necessary??

I too was also an OG member. i never got any emails even after emailing J personally. I also never got a shirt that was included. Yes we got our beer we were promised 3 of which i thought to be very poor and rushed (you could tell by the shitty label after master blaster) and as someone else stated was looking for the continued years not just the initial bottles.

I am a member of Bruery Reserve also and i have been for 4 years, I dont do it for the initial package but the ability to buy exclusive beer....

Unless it's only a 120 bottles total, it shouldn't be necessary. Some come early for the big bottle shares that go on with the early birds. Unless he is coming from out of the Miami area, 5 am isn't necessary..

Probably not, but there's always a pretty good bottle share going on at the front of the line. There's some folks that I only know through bottle lines at JWB, so, for me at least, it's fun to hang out for a few hours, talk shit and drink beer while the sun comes up.

Not sure yet. We just added the mango, guava, + passion fruit, today. Can't tell you how excited I am for this beer. I'll give you the heads up on bottle count once I know more.

Off current topic, but I'm drinking a Green Monsta right now and I think I like it just as much as Civil Society's best stuff. It's different but damn delicious, and still great after a month from being brewed/canned.

If I had gone when they first canned Monsta I would have grabbed 2 or 3 six packs, but having been a month after I only grabbed one. If they can it again I will grab more right away.

    J. Wakefield Brewing Jamie, we have been discussing possibly using BPT or Eventbrite for future releases, but for now we will continue with onsite bottle purchases. As per the Miami Mayor, there is nothing to fear with this so called outbreak. The media blows things out of proportion and Mayor Tomas Pedro Regalado states that Wynwood is a safe haven despite what the media portrays. We hope you can join us for this release and as a safety measure bring insect repellent! We hope you can join us. Cheers!

I guess the Center for Disease Control is part of the media blowing things out of proportion on this so called outbreak? Yes, I know here I am bashing JWB once again as the disgruntled former OG member, but if you're of an age where you or your significant other are considering starting a family, do your homework on the Zika virus in Wynwood before going.

I wonder if he spent any of the crowd funded money on his HellCat? Seemed pretty broke when he was begging for money to start the place.

I work in Wynwood, haven't died from Zika yet. I haven't even been bit by a mosquito. So, yeah, I'd say it's being blown out of proportion.

Also, have people forgotten that mosquito repellant is a thing that exists for consumer purchase? Zika isn't the only virus that mosquitos can transmit. So, in theory, if you're legit concerned about Zika, then you should be legit concerned about every other virus mosquitos can transmit, and you probably should have OFF stocked out the ass and using it daily

Disagree. It's a very big deal. Wynwood is simply not an option for those looking to start a family and of course for anyone who's pregnant. Besides, repellent doesn't even work that well. I've gotten bitten hundreds of times with repellent on throughout my life living here. Anyways, the Yard closed, Lagunitas canceled their event, Wynwood Brewing postponed their anniversary event until December, etc. etc. People and companies are reacting to this as they should. I do think JWB will inevitably postpone or modify their Miami Madness release.

With that being said, JWB has the right to do whatever they want and I won't hold anything against them for however they proceed. I also think the people whining about it are being ridiculous. It's just beer. Boo Fn hoo if you don't / can't go to this one event. If you're pregnant or looking to be soon, oh well. That's your problem. People don't have to cater to you.

I know there's definite cause for concern for some folks, I'm not saying it's not a "big deal." But some people are acting like Wynwood is in the middle of a pandemic, which is not the case. Again, I'm in Wynwood 5 days out of the week, so I've seen and smelled the crews that are out eradicating the mosquito population.

Just remember guys, Wynwood is a major tourist destination for the county, so anything that threatens those sweet sweet tourism dollars will most probably get taken care of very quickly

That's exactly what you said I the first post. I'm not nearly concerned about malaria as I am Zika in Miami, or anywhere.

If you have children even remotely in your thoughts, wynwood is not a place to be.

I think the cause for concern is not about "dying from Zika" as it is your offspring being severely affected from it. While I'm sure you are not dead from it, there are people with other repercussions they could suffer from. Don't down play it, it is a concern from many people.

Ps 99.9999999% of the country has never heard of wynwood. It's not a major tourist destination.

Maybe not, but I'm sure they've heard of MIAMI. Where do you think tourists go when they visit Miami? Overtown? Allapattah? No, South Beach and Wynwood. So, yeah, it actually is a major tourist spot within the city.
