noticed that the ticket purchasing link is up on the website (but not active until tomorrow) is there a way to sign up for vendini ahead of time to get my information ready to order? Also, I'm hoping to buy VIP tix for me and one other person. I see that at the brewery today it was possible to buy two tickets, can I therefore assume that I can do the same online (if lucky enough) and just have the both of us walk in at the same time?

    thanks

Also, I don't know if the tix are still available but i figured I'd add this: I bought 2 tix and it asked for the name of the second person in case anyone is wondering

I only bought one and it still required a name in that box so I just put my name in there

same. sat there for a bit wondering why it wouldn't work so I put a name in and went through. I tried at first to buy two but it said unavailable so I changed it to 1. Guess I got the last ticket.

I sat there for a minute too and check every box to make sure it was accurate

is there a tentative list of breweries (not individual beers yet, saw that question was answered on the event page) attending the anniversary party listed anywhere? (I realize we're pretty far away, just bored at work and looking forward to Florida in February)

Ugh...Thunderdome and Harbinger prices raised to $25 and BA harbinger is now $30, as per Facebook event page.

So is $30 the new standard price for barrel aged stouts now?

Jebus. Nice stealth price change there. I guess everyone is in a race to see what the market will top out at.

Cycle had to make every bottle in their trademark series a $30 bottle

Higher-tier craft is headed toward wine pricing and I've been telling beer geeks about it for years. Enjoy your $150 bottle club memberships while they last (5 year El Catador member here) -- they're currently a bargain in comparison to what you get if you're a wine fan.

I'm pretty sure a lot of the good 750MLs at Total Wine are nearly $30 these days anyway once you add in tax so I don't think this is anything all that new?

Beer cellars are going to be the new wine cellars as Gen Y gets older and their spending power increases -- and like it or not craft pricing is going to go up as a result.

So want kind of lines are we expecting on Thurs & Fri? Realistic to think I can get there by 11:30 and get some bottles?

Last year's Harbinger lasted into the evening, I'd imagine the thurs and Friday bottles would do the same. Also, I'm sure there's going to be a LOT of people who plan on getting there at 12 and end up stuck in traffic for a while or hunting for a parking space

I know it's Art Basel but this release schedule blows. If I want Thunderdome and Harbinger I have to come down from Delray Beach to Wynwood twice in two days. At a two hour round trip it's not worth it for even great beer. Does anybody want to team up and each take a day? I'm willing to give up the 1 bottle pp of BA Harbinger in order to share the bottles.

Second, don't you think regular harbinger is a little overpriced at only 9.5% abv? It's the same price as 15% abv stouts like Big Poppa.

It is overpriced for the value you'd receive, but it will sell out. Best thing you can do if you think something is overpriced is to not buy it. You'll get another hazelnut stout someday. I was planning on getting Harbinger at $20, but not now.

FWIW, Harbinger was $25 last year as well. Overpriced? To me it's not. But I don't plan on maxing out on Saturday anymore.

As said earlier, it's simple economics (supply and demand). As long as the demand outweighs the supply the price will continue to go up. I wouldn't be surprised if in a couple years Wakefield charges $50 for a bottle of a DB BA Stout.
