We just got El Jefe in South Carolina, however it's $4.50 for a 16 oz can. I can only imagine how much his Stouts and Porters will go for.

I might be wrong, but I don't think those prices come from us. Pretty sure whenever sells them up there price it on their own. Hope you at least enjoyed it if you got a can.

Does anyone know if the new canned IPAs were released yet? The Brewbound article listed a 12/14 release date, but I haven't seen anything else mentioned

    This Saturday...

We will be canning and releasing our next batch of our Northeast style IPA's this Saturday December 17th. Starting at 12PM the following will be released via the Tap Room (cash or credit):⠀

Richard PerSimmons Imperial IPA with Persimmons fruit, Citra, Mosaic & Bavarian Mandarina hops in collaboration with @AslinBeerCo.⠀

There are only 40 cases of each offering with a 1 case limit per person.

Agreed. It unfortunately seems to be the going rate these days.

Normally I'd scratch my head at the thought that only 40 people could get their hands on this release, but their cans seem to hang around for quite a while (unless I read that wrong and it's a case total, not case total per beer)

FWIW, the most expensive 4 pack comes out to about $0.31 per ounce. Not a bad price, IMO, when you think about it...added fruit, 3 different hops (i could be mistaken, but aren't Bavarian mandarina one of the pricier hops?).

I don't mind paying those prices, esp when JWB has been hitting it out of the park with their NE IPAs. Def interested in how their "milkshake" ipas come out.

I'd say that both IPA's are worth picking up. Some good fruit and hop notes in both. For me the Here Kitty Kitty on draught was the best reason to stop in. Had a flight with that, the two new release IPA's, and the Too Sweet Baltic Porter. Grabbed a few cans for myself, and some friends.

Looks like it was brewed on the 9th. Based on Tree House and Other Half estimates, IPAs take about 17 days kettle to can. Of course this might not be an IPA.

I got myself a 4 pack of the two recent IPAs and a bottle of Cousin Eddies this past weekend. The two IPAs are solid offerings, I liked Big Show more. Yet to open Cousin but I'm a sucker for a good Scotch Ale so had to give it a try.

That scotch ale was delicious. I preferred Richard Persimmons as far as the IPAs are concerned. Both were really nice though

what do you normally pay for 16oz brewery only IPA's? Honest question

I dont get the "IPAs are too expensive" opinion. Most people will pay $5 all day long for a pint at a brewery, but to charge $20/4 pack 16oz cans to take home and drink at your leisure is too much.
