I didn’t go last year but looks like 3k tickets sold this year. You think that many ppl went last year?

I too heard how great it was last year. That’s the reason I picked it over other beer festivals.

I'd be surprised if last year had more than 1500 people. Never felt crowded and almost no lines except when something new was tapped inside or when Morning Delight was tapped. Even then it was maybe 5-10min

So in Chicago the people have to stand in line, in Miami just your phone does?

So stout season release of all those beers. Extreme lines you think? My Uncle wants to go pick me up some for a xmas gift but I wasn't going to send him into extreme lines/early etc. Any insight?

Lines for sure. You could send him at open or a little bit after and hope for the best.

Thanks. That is what I told him. I figured with so many different bottles releasing there is at least a chance lol.

Anyone catch that fullpint article today where they mention the other 2 BA boss tycoons?

"The other two BA releases will be very rare and special. The beers are a nod to John’s head brewer, Maria’s incredible work of being the 'Treatment Queen' as Kyle refers to her. He believes strongly that she works better with adjuncts than anybody else in the brewing game. 'She Neva Seen: Purple Label' is Double Barrel Aged with Calvados and Cognac featuring St. Helena coffee. 'She Neva Seen: Pink Label' is Double Barrel Aged with Calvados and Cognac featuring Panama La Esmeralda Gesha coffee.

All of these BA versions of Boss Tycoon will be for VIP ticket holders only and the latter two will be available via a raffle at the festival since there will be such a small number of bottles. The 'She Neva Seen' bottles will be along the lines of Bake Kujira as far as rarity goes. There might even be a few large format magnum bottles produced."

Boss Tycoon was a huge miss for me, tastes more like a sweet tea soft drink and cough syrup than beer. Didn't get any of the listed ingredients on the label, or really any beer-like attributes otherwise.

Are these the first Cognac Barrel release from J. Wakefield? I'm pretty excited for any BA from these guys. Gonna be my first time trying them!

Thought it was incredible on tap, didn’t quite live up out of the bottle for me either
