J Wakefield Releases

I didn't like it too much either. Overly sweet for my taste but hoping the barrel treatments will make a significant difference. Really excited for that Weller barrel Boutit though.

 

Hello everyone,

I'll be visiting family in Florida and was thinking about going to the Stout Season bottle release this weekend.

I'll have a 90 minute drive to get to J Wakefield. With the bottle sale starting at 11am, what would be a good time to arrive? Are these releases normally a shit show? Just don't want to drive 90 minutes and get shut out of getting bottles.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. This will be my first visit to the brewery.

If the releases are anything like they are in Chicago, I am too late.

 

It prob depends on what bottles you are after. It you want the 1pp stuff you may have to show up a few hours early. I'd guess the 2pp stuff would last a bit...but it's really hard to say with this being such a large release.

Here's a good story.

Get in line at 730. Meet the best people. Drink all sorts of amazing line beers. Purchase all the ba beers +. And leave my cooler right outside the car before leaving. Fvck me. Serious ground score for someone. Good times nonetheless.

 

Any kickass tap takeovers announced for the the week of Wakefest yet? Specifically looking for Thursday/Friday night night.

 

I believe union beerstore has something planned but that’s all I’ve heard of so far

 

Saw someone posted that anchorage is bringing adwtd, coffee darkest hour and an ipa to wakefest. That's a solid start

I have had the ADWTD double oak and just had Darkest Hour Coffee and both are fantastic!

I’m coming down from the North East for New Years. When is the best time to score some cans/bottles?

 

Check their social media when they announce specific upcoming releases.

Cans usually can casually walk in day of.

Weekend stout release....have to be there early
