i live in southern Maine. I'm looking for Jack daniels barrels, a way to contact a supplier or a way to contact a brewery that uses JD barrels. They are hard to find up here any help would be great.

Alllagash uses a variety of different wood. Start there.

If you are looking for well used barrels, I may have some. Mine are not Jack Daniels, but better options in my opinion. Bulleit, Jeffersons and a few others.

shoot me a private message with your email.

Wormtown uses JD barrels in Tennessee Tats, so they may have some knocking around.

Neither Bulleit, nor Jefferson's distill anything on their own. So in reality it's some other distilleries' barrels.

Yes @Sesmu that is true. But since the barrels held the spirits that became Bulleit and Jefferson's, I am comfortable saying these barrels are such. either way, these particular barrels are quite nice and so is the beer coming out of them.

Hey konabrewer - A buddy (brewer) and I are planning to open a brewery in CT in the next year or two (www.noblejaybrew.com). We'll be a small operation, likely 5bbls, selling almost completely out of our tap room (planned for East Lyme, CT) and we'll be brewing lagers as well as ales. We have a lagered baltic porter that just finished fermenting and we'd like to start experimenting with aging that beer in bourbon barrels. As I'm sure you know, barrels are hard to come by these days. I'm from VA and love some bourbon (especially Jefferson's) and we both really enjoy Framinghammer. Would you be willing to sell your Jefferson's barrel? If so pm me. Cheers!

Try some liquor stores. They can buy a barrel and have a distillery bottle it for them. They also get sent the barrel.
