A blog post, yesterday, indicated that there will be upcoming information on the release "later this week".

This will be my first time attending a Jackie O release. Any suggestions for the event? I know details from JO are still pending but any information would be helpful.

What time do people start to line up on Friday?
Do you have to get there extremely early Saturday for a table?
Are there bottle shares around town Friday or Saturday? Anyone interested in setting something up?

    Looking forward to it!

It all depends on the release. Normally, aside from a few die-hards, people don't start lining up until an hour or so before tickets are handed out (that happens at 5:00). If you're in line by 4:30 you should be fine - remember, allocations are spread thin compared to other brewery releases to allow as many people as possible to get the beer. If 300 people show up and there's a beer with a ~300 bottle count, it'll be 1pp. Lining up early only really helps you if you need to split early on Saturday or if you want to hang around for a second trip through the line (assuming there's anything left).

People start lining up around 8:15-8:30 for the 9:00 opening. It all depends on the size of your group, but you should be fine if you get there before 9.

There are always shares, people will likely post here closer to the event. I'd be down to crack a few bottles at the Super 8, but, honestly, I go for the tap list first, bottle sale second, and anything else isn't much of a priority...with almost 40 awesome beers on tap, it's hard to "save room" for any late night shenanigans IMO.

What's the best place to stay? The Super 8 seems kind of far away, and has terrible reviews. Is it still that?

We are staying at days inn since all of the other hotels were booked last time I looked unless you went far out. Not sure how we will travel to and from but will figure that out soon.

The Super 8 is more than fine, (clean/refrigerator in every room)and a short cab ride. I have been there at least six times.

Ah, looks like the Days Inn is the only thing still available.

Now the Days Inn is a shitehole, only been there once.

I believe Super 8 has been recently remodeled, like within the last year, so it's fine. Plus, you're just showering and sleeping there -- most of your time is going to be spent uptown, drink and eating, as well as drinking and eating...and eating.

I'm not going to be able to get there until approx 8:30 pm Friday or super early Saturday. Will I be able to get a calendar number by then (highly prefer Saturday morning if possible) to be able to buy the Peach Fuzz? Thanks, haven't been to a bottle release of theirs yet.

No one can answer this with complete confidence. You will be able to get a calendar page, but there's no way to tell if 360 people will get there before you.

In past releases, aside from the Anniversary Party in December (which had a record breaking crowd of attendees), you would be OK - for sure on Friday at 8:30, likely on Saturday AM.

But the Anniversary Party was the last bottle release, so no one honestly knows if the increase in attendees was a one-time thing in December or if the crowds for Jackie O's bottle releases are just going to get bigger and bigger. There's just no way to tell for sure.

I won't get down there until Saturday morning. Past releases I have been fine excluding the anniversary event. For that you need to be there early on Friday. Glad the case counts are high except for cuvée 9

Sounds good thanks all. Do they give out calendar pages early on Saturday, or not until they open? Wouldn't have a problem getting there at 8am, just don't want to get there that early and find out they're not releasing calendar pages yet that day.

They usual leave the calendar on barrel or put it out early in the morning. On these smaller releases I usually get there by 8 and don't have a problem. But it may be different now with how many people show up
