I have seen 72 bottles leave in the 10 minutes I have been here.

 

Unfortunately, I have to bolt. 60th b day party for my mom tonight. I didnt ask specifically, but Champion is still on the board. Drinking an Oro right now. For my money, it and Champion are still right there with BBBM for the best beer they roll out.

According to the bartender, they're expecting to sell out of BBBM bottles tomorrow.

 

is it individuals or large teams of people? either way i am impressed with the amount of people who can get there on weekdays

 

I know I could easily call for an answer to this question, but I'd rather not bother the good folks over at Jackie O's because I imagine they're already fielding tons of calls regarding the status of BBBM. What time do they stop selling bottles today? The website says taproom closes at 9PM, so I'm assuming that's still accurate?

 

Yep -- 9pm. It's okay to call, really. If it's local and you're calling 30 bottle shops for one beer, then yeah that's not the coolest thing to do. But if you're planning on driving hours to purchase their product and would just like to know for general planning, then it's perfectly fine.

 

Athens is like an hour drive from Columbus, why is that so hard to believe? Pretty sure they were open past 9 last night, or at least there were still a ton of people there when we left right around 9. Also, blending Oro and Champion Ground might have been the best decision ever, recommend.

 

One big group of 6- 7 guys came in, but it was pretty busy in general given the time of day compared to any of my previous visits. Lots of cool new shirts and stuff on sale. Staff is awesome as usual

 

Thanks. I wouldn't be able to make it before 9. Hopefully some lasts until morning, I'm thinking about making the drive over.

On a serious note, they mentioned they were doing the can glasses for all the cans eventually, which is neat.

And I finally pulled the trigger and got an Ohio-shaped cheese board. That German dude does some fantastic woodwork.



I don't know why I shared all of that with you guys, I just wanted to let you into my world for a bit.

 

Looks like those extra Sunday hours won't be needed after all.

 

Just got here...Champion Ground still flowing, but they said it's dangerously low.

Cleveland is 3.5... thats where we are all crazy!

 

I don't know what part of town you're from but it has never taken me more than 3 hours from the west side of Cleveland.

 

Anyone know if that woodworker that does the cutting boards and tap handles has a website?

I'm not sure how fast you drive, but going a little over the speed limit, it always takes me just under 3.5. Every single time. My buddy and I broke 3 hours one time but he was going like 80-85 the whole time.
